Go Cart Go
Buckle up your seat belts and go for a ride… a go cart ride. Speed, race, and fight for the finish line. Who will win? It won’t take long to find out.
Verse to Share
Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us run the race marked out for us. Hebrews 12:1 NIV
Devotional
A race is not over until the very last second. Until the runner, bicyclist, or go cart driver crosses the finish line, first place is up for grabs. Just because someone has a huge lead, doesn’t necessarily mean they will be the winner. Many things can get in the way. There could be an equipment or mechanical problem, an injury, or the race could just be too physically tiring to complete. No, the race isn’t over until it’s over. It’s the same in God’s race. We have friends and family members cheering us on. We run and try our best to avoid the traps, pot holes, and dangerous areas along the path. It’s our job to seek God’s help and guidance so we don’t lose our way or start racing in the wrong direction. All of this racing is exhausting, but the prize is so worth it. Don’t give up or get content with where you are.
Always push harder and get to know God more every single day. God is waiting in heaven to congratulate you on the victory. So, Sister, keep your eyes on the prize and race toward God. He will guide you. He will watch your back and make sure you’re fueled up, prepared, trained, and ready to race. And don’t forget… He is waiting at the finish line. His arms are open wide. Run to Him. Believe me…This is one race you don’t want to miss.
